America's most-searched ice cream brand may surprise you -- and there's a healthy reason why
Halo Top has emerged as the most-searched ice cream brand in the U.S., according to Google search trends analyzed by Innerbody Research across all 50 states and Washington, D.C., covering April 2025 through April 2026. The study said the brand outpaced other frequently searched names including Cold Stone Creamery, Breyers, Talenti and Häagen-Dazs. The report notes that Halo Top markets its product as a “feel-good treat,” emphasizing fewer calories and less sugar than leading brands and a source of protein. Halo Top was founded in 2011 and was named “Food Disruptor of the Year” in 2017 after reporting a 2,500% increase in sales the prior year. Wells Enterprises, which also owns Blue Bunny, acquired Halo Top in 2019. While search interest may not directly reflect sales, Dairy Foods Magazine reported that in 2025 Breyers, Blue Bunny and Turkey Hill led by dollar sales.
