Mum asks 'who could be so cruel?' as money from memorial fund goes missing

A mother whose teenage son was killed in a motorway crash says money set aside for his memorial has gone missing from her home. Kim Morgan told reporters that two weeks ago the memory box where she keeps the funds was opened and £600 was missing. Her son, Ryan-Liam Morgan, died after his father, Daniel Burba, crashed a Peugeot van into a tree on April 20, 2025, following a cocaine-induced seizure. Ryan tried to grab the steering wheel moments before the crash, and a court later heard he “died in terror.” Burba was jailed for 10 years in August 2025. Kim is also seeking answers about who could have taken the money.
