Nationwide recall on these compound GLP-1 drugs
xCruzo Brief
The FDA issued a nationwide Class II recall for 23 compounded GLP-1 vials from Apothecary Pharma LLC due to a lack of assurance that the products are sterile. The FDA said Class II means any exposure could cause reversible or temporary consequences and poses little risk of serious harm from use. The recall covers 22 vials of Tirzepatide Injection (18 mg/mL), including multiple lot numbers with BUD dates ranging from Oct. 7, 2026 to Nov. 26, 2026, plus one vial of NAD+ Injection (200 mg/mL) with BUD Oct. 13, 2026. The FDA previously flagged insanitary conditions during preparation, and the article explains that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved name-brand products.
