Novartis' oral multiple sclerosis drug meets main goal in late stage studies

Swiss drugmaker Novartis says its oral multiple sclerosis candidate remibrutinib met the main goals in two late-stage studies, outperforming a rival treatment in reducing relapse rates for patients with a specific form of MS. The update comes as investors watch several experimental approaches—pelacarsen, remibrutinib and gene therapy del-desiran—collectively seen as representing more than $10 billion in peak annual sales potential.
