Texas’ comeback win over Ohio State delivered a dramatic fourth-quarter turnaround that could have larger implications for the Longhorns. Playing in Austin, the fourth-ranked team struggled early, fumbled twice in its first five plays, made numerous mistakes and was booed by its home crowd. Trailing top-ranked Ohio State by 20 points after three quarters, Texas erupted with three touchdowns in the fourth, including a 1-yard winning score by Hollywood Smothers after 91-, 72- and 73-yard drives. The rally capped a 21-0 run and featured a late interception by Graceson Littleton on Julian Sayin’s desperation heave. The win ended a tough stretch for coach Steve Sarkisian’s staff, and left Texas 2-0 for only the third time in six seasons.
