Patriots acquire veteran OL in ESPN hypothetical trade with NFC team

ESPN’s latest hypothetical trade would send Washington Commanders veteran offensive lineman Andrew Wylie and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round selection. The proposal targets depth for New England’s injury-depleted offensive line, where Mike Onwenu is on injured reserve. Alijah Vera-Tucker and Ben Brown are also dealing with injuries after both were hurt in Week 6, increasing the urgency for reinforcements. The article notes Wylie has allowed only one pressure across 15 snaps this season and can play both left and right tackle, potentially helping as Morgan Moses nears retirement.
