CRM Stock's Best Week In 5 Years On Anthropic AI Deal - Salesforce (NYSE:CRM)
Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) surged 24% over the week, its strongest weekly gain since August 2020, and topped the S&P 500’s best-performing names. The rally followed a blockbuster second-quarter report released Wednesday, with adjusted EPS of $5.90 versus $3.27 expected—an 80% beat. Revenue rose to $11.35 billion, up 11% year over year. Management also raised its fiscal-year 2027 adjusted EPS guidance to $16.67–$16.71, above the Street’s $14.16 estimate. Salesforce introduced “Claudeforce,” deepening its Anthropic partnership by making Claude the default AI model across Slack and core Salesforce products, and booked a $2.6 billion mark-to-market gain on its stake. Shares jumped 22.6% Thursday as the print eased concerns about AI agents eroding its seat-based licensing model.
