GloRilla makes surprise appearance at All White Affair party in Memphis
GloRilla’s surprise appearance at Memphis’ annual All White Affair highlighted how quickly music plans can change. The Memphis-born rapper performed at Tom Lee Park on July 18, stepping in after fellow artist Sexy Redd reportedly canceled just 48 hours before the festival. According to event promoter Curits Givens, Redd had a signed contract but “pulled out,” prompting Givens to “act fast” and arrange a private jet for the replacement. The substitute was GloRilla, who appeared dressed in all white and performed for a large, enthusiastic crowd. Givens’ event has been known for celebrity-filled celebrations of Black excellence. Beyond live appearances, GloRilla has been active with recent collaborations, including Ludacris and Keyshia Cole, and her upcoming follow-up to 2024’s Glorious is nearing completion.
