Breckenridge hopes extra experience pays off in 2026
xCruzo Brief
Breckenridge enters the 2026 season with momentum built from a 2025 injury-plagued campaign that still helped younger players earn valuable snaps. Coach Isaac Gregory said 11 seniors graduated and, in the Huskies’ 8-player format, that shortage showed with a 6-4 record. Quarterback Gavin Corbat returns as one of the key pieces; the 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior threw for 2,014 yards on 120 of 174 passes with 22 touchdowns, adding 632 rushing yards and four scores. Kicker Dylan Davenport also returns, missing only one extra point in 2025. Breckenridge will replace Trey Most and Braxton Clapp while continuing to build around players such as Ely Chapin and Braylon Mayle.
