Fatal Aircraft Accident Caught On Camera -- Gyrocopter Hits Funicular Cables In Italy As Victims' Relatives Watch In Horror [VIDEO]

A two-seat gyrocopter crash killed both people onboard on Wednesday in northern Italy after the aircraft struck funicular cables above the Campliccioli dam. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. near the dam in Valle Antrona, Piedmont, roughly 1,400 meters above sea level and close to the Swiss border. The blades clipped the lines, the rotorcraft burst into flames, and rescue teams reached a rocky slope below. Pilot Alessandro Angelo Muscinelli, 62, and passenger Antonella Pagliarani, 63, died at the scene. Video posted by NEXTA showed the strike. No one on the ground died.
