Lifetime’s “Sole Survivor of Flight 119” is a drama directed by Steven A. Adelson about Lisa Foster, who survives an in-flight emergency on Flight 119 after managing to send a text to an emergency helpline. The message reaches Rebecca Till, an airline executive who tries to help from the ground as Lisa fights to survive in the Mexican jungle until help arrives. The film draws inspiration from Tammy L. Kling’s memoir “Exit Row: The True Story of an Emergency Volunteer, a Miraculous Survivor and the Crash of Flight 965,” based on events dated Dec. 20, 1995, when American Airlines Flight 965 crashed near Buga.
