Mitsubishi Is Winning Back Old Customers And Attracting New Ones With The Reborn Pajero
xCruzo Brief
Mitsubishi says its reborn Pajero is not only reviving a key nameplate, but also drawing customers back from rivals. Preorders opened on October 1 and the company had received about 5,500 orders by October 28, surpassing the sales target for the full fiscal year ending March 2027. Mitsubishi estimates that nearly 80% of buyers are switching from another brand. The brand also reports returns from former Pajero owners and customers coming back after driving other automakers, including those with family ties to the model. The most ordered version is the flagship Super Exceed: roughly 70% of orders, priced at 7,950,800 yen (about $51,400). The new Pajero launches in Japan on December 17.
