A lap-six incident at over 315 km/h in the Aragon Grand Prix became the turning point that helped Marc Marquez secure a third straight win there. Bezzecchi and Marquez ran side-by-side north of 315 km/h, barely separated while approaching Turn 15, then exited onto Aragon’s 968-metre main straight. Marquez dived down the inside as Bezzecchi took the line, and the bikes’ aerodynamics pulled them toward each other, with Marquez describing a scary moment as his machine drifted and a small wheelie appeared in sixth gear. Marco Bezzecchi later slowed exiting Turn 2 and felt he might collide, but Marquez managed to control the race. Pedro Acosta opportunistically took second and stayed in Marquez’s wheel tracks before Marquez uncorked a 1m46.910s lap on lap 13, stretching the lead as no one else matched the 1:46 bracket.
