Tesla registrations surge across Northern Europe in October
xCruzo Brief
Tesla’s new vehicle registrations climbed sharply across Northern Europe in October, extending the recovery for the U.S. EV maker’s regional sales. Registrations jumped 248% in Sweden, 131% in Norway and 34% in Denmark, according to Mobility Sweden, OFV (Norway’s data compiler) and bilstatistik.dk (Denmark). The improvement was helped by easier year-ago comparisons, higher fuel prices, government incentives and continued growth in EV demand. Data for Britain and Germany—Europe’s two biggest car markets—are due later this week. Tesla said in October it ended Q3 with its largest passenger vehicle order backlog in four years.
