Exclusive video shows dog attack in Duluth; man hospitalized with severe hand injuries

A man was hospitalized with severe injuries to both hands after a dog attack in Duluth, captured on home surveillance video, according to Atlanta News First. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday on Howell Park Road. Neighbors said a woman walking a larger dog approached a man who was walking his small dog on the same side of the sidewalk; the larger dog lunged at least once before escalating into an attack. The victim nearly lost two fingers, and the report cited extensive medical care for both hands. Neighbors called 911, and animal control was among the responders. Gwinnett County Animal Control said it would return with Duluth police to investigate.
