Viemed Healthcare Targets Low-20% Growth as Home Ventilation Opportunity Expands
Viemed Healthcare (NASDAQ: VMD) outlined at the Midwest IDEAS Conference a growth strategy focused on in-home care for patients with complex respiratory conditions, setting an outlook targeting low-20% growth. CEO Casey Hoyt said complex respiratory services account for roughly half of the company’s business. The company deploys respiratory therapists at home for conditions including COPD, ALS and neuromuscular disorders that can lead to respiratory failure, and also sells sleep apnea products, oxygen therapy, airway-clearance devices, healthcare staffing and maternal health products. Viemed serves patients in all 50 states and has more than 198,000 patients, with Hoyt pointing to an underpenetrated home ventilation market among severe COPD.
