This free event series takes Seattleites on adult field trips

Seattle's Best Day Ever series transforms adult outings into citywide field trips, offering a free, daylong exploration of a Seattle neighborhood that connects residents with local businesses and community organizations. The project, led by the Seattle Chamber of Connection in partnership with the city’s Department of Neighborhoods, organizes five thematic days—service, learning, movement, gathering, and connection—across districts starting with an inaugural March event in South Park. Six additional neighborhood days are planned: Downtown (May 30), Ballard (Sept. 12), Hillman City (Sept. 19), Fremont (Oct. 10), Lake City (Oct. 24), and Central District (Nov. 14), with 50 spots per date and attendees aged 12 and up. Registrants will view the full itinerary for their event. The March event featured hands-on activities such as pizza-making with South Town Pie, delivery of meals to a nearby tiny-home village, and a food-distribution packing effort, complemented by a Maeve Chocolate tasting and a free lunch by Craige LeGrand, all illustrating a day designed to deepen local ties and neighborhood knowledge. The program aims to foster meaningful connections and appreciation for Seattle’s diverse communities while showcasing partner organizations.
