Dolphins have reportedly shut down trade calls on two veterans
xCruzo Brief
The Miami Dolphins are reportedly shutting down trade calls for at least two veterans this year as they continue a rebuild with a young roster. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer said the team isn’t “hanging up on anyone,” but values veteran leaders as key to creating the right environment for rookies and young players. Breer cited interest from other teams in defensive tackle Zach Sieler and center Aaron Brewer, but Miami quickly rebuffed offers. Sieler, 31, is under contract through 2029 and faces a cap number rising from $11 million this year to $20.89 million next year; Brewer, 29, has a cap jump from $5.64 million to $18.56 million in 2027. Breer also noted possible trade discussions for right tackle Austin Jackson.
