New cyber incident helpline promises triage callback within two hours
Singapore is rolling out a new cyber incident helpline designed for fast triage. The free service, launched by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), aims to provide a callback within two hours to organisations hit by cyber incidents, offering advice on containment and referrals to specialists. Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information Tan Kiat How unveiled the helpline at Singapore International Cyber Week on Oct 14, following his remarks at the event on Oct 13. The move comes as Singapore’s second Singapore Cybersecurity Health Report, released on Oct 14, found almost nine in 10 organisations surveyed had at least one cybersecurity incident in 2025, up from eight in 10 in 2023. The most common incidents were ransomware, compromised credentials and social engineering. While incident-response impacts declined, defence-strengthening was uneven.
