Police appeal after man dies following Sutton-on-the-Forest crash

North Yorkshire Police have appealed for information after a man in his 70s died in hospital following a crash near Sutton-on-the-Forest, close to York. Officers said the collision took place on the B1363 York Road on 12 August at about 15:15 BST. The man, driving a red Vauxhall Astra, suffered minor injuries initially when it collided with a silver Audi, according to the force. He was taken to hospital and later died. Police asked any witnesses to come forward and requested anyone with dashcam footage to contact them. The appeal is aimed at helping establish what led up to the collision and how it unfolded.
