What Is Apple HomeView? 7-Inch Display and Apple Intelligence Features Explained

Apple announced Apple HomeView on 13 October 2026, positioning it as a new kind of smart home display. The 7-inch square Liquid Retina touchscreen uses Apple’s A18 chipset and Siri AI with Apple Intelligence (beta, English only). Priced at $299 in the US, it goes on sale 13 November 2026 with pre-orders opening ahead of launch. A standout feature is face recognition for up to six users, letting each person have their own set of widgets, apps and private Home Screen information. HomeView can act as a photo frame, video calling screen and control panel, and it supports Apple Home, Matter, and up to nine camera feeds at once, including models in silver, starlight, rose pink and space grey.
