Year-old man accused of assaulting mom and baby girl in stroller at Bryant Park

A 49-year-old man is facing charges after police say he assaulted a mother and her infant in a stroller at Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday. The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. near the intersection of 41st Street and Sixth Avenue. Police say a 39-year-old woman was pushing her baby daughter when an unknown man approached and threw a phone that struck the infant’s arm. Officials allege the suspect then threw the phone at the mother but missed her. The victims refused medical attention at the scene, and the man was arrested. He was later identified as Marc Okon and is charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and reckless endangerment.
