Britain's most (and least) reliable cars revealed
xCruzo Brief
The 2025 What Car? Reliability Survey, based on nearly 40,000 responses from British drivers covering 225 models from 30 brands up to five years old, names a surprise joint winner. The Suzuki Swift and the Mini Countryman both score 100%, with the Mini matching the Japanese car’s perfect result. Japanese and Korean makes dominate the rest of the top 10, while several German names improve, including Mini and BMW models and one Mercedes. At the low end, the latest Volkswagen Tiguan finishes last with 55%, down from 64% last year, alongside the Tiguan (previous gen), ID.4, Jaecoo 7 and the outgoing Nissan Qashqai. The survey also flags rising repair bills.
